Kinvolved is building a movement that elevates student attendance, one of our youth's most critical Civil Rights. By supporting districts, schools, and nonprofits in creating a community that is inclusive of students, parents, and families of varied backgrounds, research proves that more students attend school.
Kinvolved’s mobile and web app, KiNVO, enables K-12 school staff and families to engage through real-time, translated, text messaging. Through open communication and access to simple attendance data, communities work together to ensure students attend school everyday.
Through Clever, KiNVO automatically syncs and routinely updates roster information from districts’ student information systems.
In the 2015-2016 school year, Kinvolved's NYCDOE partner schools increased attendance by an average of 1.6%, which is 1.1% higher than the average NYCDOE school. This means that students gained 333K additional instructional hours as a result of their schools' partnership with Kinvolved.
Kinvolved’s Campus Kit, winner of the Robin Hood Foundation College Success Prize, is in beta testing, and supports community college students' efforts to persist to graduation.
